Cet anticorps monoclonal est déterminé par sa capacité à reconnaître le prodomaine de la protéine humaine AKAP4.
Cet anticorps monoclonal (clone 5H2) ne reconnaît que le précurseur de l'AKAP4 (110 kDa / 854 AA), le prodomaine (21 kDa) et ne réagit pas avec la forme clivée fonctionnelle qui est l'AKAP4 (82 kDa / 665 AA).
Cet anticorps monoclonal réagit également avec les protéines proAKAP4 provenant de semences de chat, chèvre, chameau, chien, verrat et lapin.
